The current effective national and industry standards for dehydrated vegetables in China are as follows: Core standard system GB/T 18525.6-2026 "Radiation Technology for Agricultural Products Part 6: Dehydrated Vegetables" Published by: State Administration for Market Regulation, National Standardization Administration Release date: May 25th, 2026 Implementation date: December 1, 2026 Substitution relationship: completely replaces GB/T 18526.3-2001 Scope of application: Standardize the irradiation sterilization process of dehydrated vegetables, including requirements for irradiation equipment, pre-treatment before irradiation, process control, post irradiation management, and document recording. Key technical parameters: Radiation source: ⁶⁰ Co/¹³ ⁷ Cs gamma rays, ≤ 10 MeV electron beam, or ≤ 5 MeV X-ray Dose range: 4.0-10.0 kGy (adjusted according to product characteristics) Packaging materials: must comply with food grade insect and moisture prevention requirements NY/T 1045-2025 "Dehydrated Vegetables for Green Food" Published by: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China Release date: December 9th, 2025 Implementation date: May 1, 2026 Substitution Relationship: Replace NY/T 1045-2014 entirely Scope of application: Suitable for dehydrated vegetable products that have obtained green food certification, covering the entire process of raw materials, processing, packaging, and storage and transportation. Main technical indicators: Table Specific project limit requirements for indicator categories Moisture content: Hot air drying ≤ 8.0% Freeze drying ≤ 6.0% Other processes for drying ≤ 15.0% Microbial limit: Total colony count ≤ 10 ⁴ CFU/g Coliform group ≤ 10 MPN/g Mold ≤ 50 CFU/g Pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus) shall not be detected Pesticide residues of carbofuran, oxytetracycline, and fipronil ≤ 0.01 mg/kg Cypermethrin, carbendazim, and fungicide shall be executed in accordance with GB 2763 Heavy metal lead (Pb) ≤ 0.5 mg/kg Cadmium (Cd) ≤ 0.05 mg/kg Total arsenic (As) ≤ 0.5 mg/kg Food additive sulfur dioxide residue ≤ 0.1 g/kg Note: NY/T 1045-2025 has removed independent limits for mercury, total arsenic, and chromium, and uniformly cited GB 2762 "National Food Safety Standard - Limits for Contaminants in Food"; Add high-risk pesticide residue indicators such as carbofuran, oxytetracycline, and fipronil. Standard Application Instructions GB/T 18525.6-2026 is a national standard for processing technology, applicable to enterprises that use irradiation technology for sterilization, and is a technical specification for the production end. NY/T 1045-2025 belongs to the product industry standard, which is the admission basis for green food certification and is aimed at market circulation and quality supervision. The two complement each other: enterprises can simultaneously meet the requirements of product safety (NY/T 1045) and processing compliance (GB/T 18525.6).
